RecConnect
RecConnect is a new project that links people with acquired brain injuries in the Fraser Valley to existing community recreation programs. We offer a variety of groups in different communities as well including ArtWorks, the Photo Club, Walking Group, Tai Chi group, Dog Daze, Creative Writing, Theatre etc... Start dates and communities vary so please contact Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association for details.
Volunteer Programs
Why volunteer? Sometimes people with acquired brain injuries experience changes in personality, social and communication skills which can make it difficult to work, keep friendships or to participate in recreation activities. This is where our volunteers come in! With your help, people with acquired brain injuries can successfully attend community recreation programs or even volunteer themselves.
Volunteers are needed to assist with groups, special events or with one to one community outings. Case Management
Our skilled and experienced case management team provides support to brain injury survivors of all ages and their families including:
- Assistance with finding and accessing appropriate community services and other resources
- Support with returning to the community
- Support with applications for services
