Brain Injury Awareness Walkathon 2017

On Saturday June 17, 2017 at 2:30pm Abbotsford Brain Injury Drop-In along with Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association will be meeting at Mill Lake Park at the Bevan Avenue Picnic Shelter for a brain injury awareness walkathon. We will be raising money for special events for the Abbotsford Brain Injury drop-in program and for FVBIA. We are also celebrating FVBIA’s 20th Anniversary!

The walkathon will have a recognition ceremony, walkathon and a BBQ.

Participants in the walkathon will be Abbotsford Brain Injury Drop-In members, FVBIA Members, as well as any family, caregivers or support persons who would like to participate. Participants will collect money donations from family, friends and support people in their community.

Please do not go not go door to door but rather ask people for a donation in your network of people.

Walkathon participants will walk around Mill Lake Park, a 2.35 km walk, or a shorter 1km track to include all abilities. Feel free to bring wheelchairs, walkers, scooters etc. Please contact the ABI Drop-In manager Amanda Lind or FVBIA at for more information and to register/RSVP.
